Air France flight to Vancouver makes emergency landing in Scotland after burning smell detected on board

Crew aboard an Air France flight to Vancouver declared an emergency and landed in Scotland Saturday due to technical issues on board, the airline confirmed.

Flight 374 from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport diverted to an airport outside Glasgow as a precautionary measure after a "light smell of burning" was detected, the airline said in an email to CBC News

The flight remained on the runway at Glasgow's Prestwick Airport, according to a tweet from the aviation information website AirLive.net.
