Puerto Rico Concedes Hurricane Maria Deaths More Than 1,400

The New York Times was the first media outlet to report the government’s acknowledgement, the AP reported.

In the report, the news agency said, Puerto Rican officials have officially admitted more than 64 people likely died from the powerful storm that knocked out the island’s power grid and caused widespread flooding, making many roads impassable.
