More Than 530 Killed And 8 , 000 Injured During Iran Earthquake

Iran state news agency IRNA announced Tuesday at least 530 were killed when the deadliest earthquake in more than a decade struck the country — leaving more than 8,000 people injured, according NBC News.

On Tuesday, Iran said rescue operations were suspended in the western province of Kermanshah, where the 7.3-magnitude earthquake hit on Sunday, Reuters said.

Rescue workers used heavy equipment to sift through debris of demolished buildings on Tuesday, with sobbing women praying as bodies were found after the quake hit the border between Iran and Iraq, according to the report.
